The ICF Credentialing Exam measure a coach’s knowledge of and ability to apply the ICF definition of coaching, the updated ICF Core Competencies, and the ICF Code of Ethics against a predetermined standard.

One of the conditions for the International Coaching Federation to grant its accreditations at the ACC, PCC, and MCC levels is passing the ICF exam.  Each multiple-choice question is designed to test the coach’s knowledge of the ICF Core Competencies by providing a realistic scenario followed by four possible responses.   The coach is required to choose the best and worst actions for each question. Although more than one option may represent a reasonable response to the scenario presented, candidates will receive credit only for selecting the best and worst possible actions. You need to score at least 76% to receive a pass grade.
